Portland Wedding Flowers: Spring Bouquet Inspiration

Spring Flowers for Wedding Bouquets

As winter wraps up here in a couple of months, we’re slowly seeing signs of spring here in Portland, Oregon. I love designing with spring wedding flowers because there’s such a variety of shapes, texture and color. And so many of them are grown locally in Oregon and Washington.

If you’re looking for Portland wedding flower inspiration in spring, you can find several spring wedding bouquets here, along with the breakdown of what they’re designed with!

Spring Wedding Bouquet in Shades of Pink

Some of the first signs of spring are blossoming branches and what makes them so special is how seasonal and short-lived they are. In Portland, after months of gray days, the first signs of spring and warmer days come with trees like quince, cherry, plum, and dogwood, to name a few.

Portland spring wedding flowers are delightful and this pink spring bouquet consisted of ranunculus, tulips, roses, sweet peas, blossoming branches and a touch of umbrella fern and ruscus.

Romantic Spring Wedding Bouquet

Peonies are undoubtedly a spring favorite of many and it’s no wonder why. Their fragrance and lush, ruffly petals are timeless and romantic and make a perfect spring wedding bloom.

This romantic spring wedding bouquet was also designed with locally grown garden roses, ranunculus and clematis. A touch of fern and spirea added and earthy, organic feel to these romantic blooms.

Neutral + Earthy Spring Wedding Bouquet

Does any flower scream springtime more than daffodils? Daffodils aren’t something I used to design with a lot, but there are so many incredible, locally grown daffodils in Oregon.

A spring wedding bouquet in Portland wouldn’t be complete without them. Locally grown hellebore and ranunculus were also used in this spring wedding bouquet, along with toffee and mustard roses, and another favorite of mine, spirea.

Spring Wedding Bouquet in Pastels

Late-spring Portland wedding flowers include locally grown lupine (one of my absolute favorites!), Icelandic poppies and columbine. This pastel wedding bouquet also consisted of roses, astilbe and blueberry foliage.

Late Spring Wedding Bouquet with Locally Grown Flowers

These citrus colors are perfect for a late-spring wedding bouquet. I often associate springtime with pastel colors like cream, blush and lavender. I love the late-spring, going-into-summer vibe of this color palette and the loads of texture and shape featured by this design. This Portland wedding flower bouquet was made up of garden roses, ranunculus, foxglove, lupine and honeysuckle.

As you can see, there is so much variety in color and shape when it comes to spring wedding flowers. Spring is an amazing season in the flower world and I love using these unique blooms for wedding flowers in the Portland area and beyond.
